Land and Freedom (1995)
Role: Coogan, a member of the militia

Official Website blurb: A smash success at this year's New York Film Festival and winner of the International Critics Prize at the Cannes International Film Festival, Ken Loach's LAND AND FREEDOM is an absorbing human and political story set against the personal passions and evolutionary dreams awakened by the Spanish Civil War.

Eoin plays Coogan (again, no first name), part of an international brigade fighting with the anti-fascists during the Spanish civil war. He's described by the main character as "... a bit of a wild one. Ex-IRA. He's always first on patrol and last one back. He knows what he's doing but he does take chances."

Being Human (1993)
Role: leader of raiders

A perfectly dreadful film, despite an interesting cast and a wonderful director (Bill Forsythe of Local Hero fame). Divided into several different time periods, Eoin is in the first section, a stone age setting. He plays the leader of a group of raiders who steal Robin Williams' mate and children. Unfortunately, while Robin Williams speaks American Caveman, Eoin and his men speak Damned Foreigner Caveman, and thus become basically a herd of shaggy mimes. Nice raggy fur costumes, though, and Eoin sports lovely shoulder-length locks. Current actor du jour, Robert Carlyle, lead actor in The Full Monty, plays the shaman in this segment. He's the one who looks like he's wearing a doily on his head.
